Community Ministry

"Having gifts that differ to the grace given to us, let us use them:...the one who leads, with zeal." -- Romans 12:6, 8

This verse sums up the work done and to be done here at St. John Lutheran as we continue reaching our community with Christ's love.

The Center for Congregations has awarded St. John Lutheran Church a $30,000 matching grant to minister to our community. Our goal is to raise $30,000- to match the $30,000 grant from the Center for Congregations.

We are already partnering with local organizations to support the needs in our community and want to continue doing more of this. Currently we are partnering with The Children's Bureau, Central Indiana Council on Aging (CICOA) and Centrality Behavior.

We have a great start on reaching our goal. The St. John Endowment Fund has given $6,000 to our efforts. Our students at St. John Lutheran School are giving money towards updating the nursery and gym for children with sensory needs. Our students want to show others that "It Is Still All About Jesus" by fulfilling a need in our community.

Now we need your support.
