Rev. Jim Myers to serve as Assistant to the Pastor at St. John Lutheran

Rev. Jim Myers will be installed Saturday and Sunday, June 10th and 11th, at all services as assistant to the senior pastor, Rev. Troy Countryman, at St. John Lutheran.

Pastor Myers will share in the responsibilities of spiritual care with Pastor Troy at St. John by preaching at and assisting in worship services. He will also serve as the primary pastoral visitor, bringing Word and Sacrament ministry to our members who are ill, hospitalized, or homebound. In the event of an emergency, Pastor Myers will also be available to provide spiritual care.

We thank Pastor Parker Knoll for his faithful assistance and service in visiting members with Word and Sacrament ministry at home or in the hospital as the primary pastoral visitor from January to May, and for teaching public school confirmation.

We ask that you would continue to pray for our pastors as they serve God’s Church and her members faithfully, and as we continue to grow and mature in our faith and strive to live as the body of Christ in this place, in the time and through the many gifts with which God has so richly blessed us.
