Welcome to our new 8th Grade and Social Studies Teacher!

As we celebrate Mr. Jeff Huntington's installation at St. John Lutheran Church and School as our eighth grade and grades 5-8 social studies teacher, we'd like to share a little information as we welcome him and his family to St. John.

Jeff comes to us with many years of teaching experience. Most recently, he served as principal at Our Shepherd Lutheran School in Avon for six years. Before that, he served as assistant principal at Calvary Lutheran School in Indianapolis for nine years, and taught grades 5-8 at Hope Lutheran School in Plant City, Florida, for five years.

Jeff graduated from Concordia University, Milwaukee, with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a minor in Computer Science.

Jeff’s wife, Leslie, is the third grade teacher at Calvary Lutheran School. They have been married since 2001. She grew up in Arlington Heights, Illinois, and she and Jeff met at Concordia-Wisconsin. They have one son, Kyle, who is a 4th-grader at Calvary. Jeff enjoys board games, video games, and reading. Leslie like yarn – knitting, weaving, and crocheting. They live in Greenwood.

We are so glad Jeff serves God and His people at the Church in this place!
