Chili Cook-Off
Get ready for some fun and flavor with your St. John Community at the Chili Cook-Off November 17 following the Voters’ Meeting (about 1pm) in the Commons. Whether you’re a chili master or just love to eat, we’d love for you to join us for this tasty event. Bring your appetite, your friends, and your best chili recipe for a chance to compete for the coveted title of Chili Champion! Enter your Chili and RSVP HERE. Kid-Friendly options will be available as well. A free-will donation will be taken to support the Youth Gathering in New Orleans next summer. May the best chili win!
Senior Pastor Call Committee Update
The Call Committee has received and is in the process of reviewing profiles of 29 potential candidates for Senior Pastor. Please CLICK HERE to read a letter from committee chairman, Jon Knoll.
Voters’ Meeting
The annual Voters' Meeting will take place Sunday, November 17 following the 10:45 service. The agenda will include updates from church and school ministries, a motion to approve beginning the Specific Ministry Pastor program, approving board members for 2025, and approval of the 2025 budget. All adult St. John members should make plans to attend. Then join us afterward for the chili cook-off, sponsored by the youth group.

Great News!
We have upgraded our streaming provider platform. Sunday services are still streamed through Facebook, but also available at stjohnindy.org/live. The most recent service can be viewed later on the website, or archives of services will also be available.
Closing Service
The closing service for Christ Lutheran Church, Indianapolis (Irvington) will take place November 17 at 2:30pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 3932 Mi Casa Avenue, Indianapolis, 46237.
Pampered Chef Fundraiser
The Youth Group is raising funds to attend the Youth Gathering in New Orleans next summer. Click HERE to order online! You can also pick up a catalog in the Commons. Orders placed by December 8 will ensure delivery in time for Christmas.
Lutheran High School
This weekend we welcome students from LHS who will be our lay readers. Information about LHS will also be shared.
Painters Wanted
The Board of Trustees is seeking people who would be willing to volunteer some of their time to paint in the Commons and the Church and School Office. This could be done on your own time and is more fun with a friend! Please contact Michael Collins if you are interested.
Servant Shout-Out
We would like to extend a farewell and godspeed to Brad and Debbie Walburn, who are relocating. Brad was the usher coordinator at St. John for a number of years. Thank you both for the blessing you have been to St. John, and may God bless you always!
Trash Bag Sale
Lutheran Jr Saints along with the LHS wrestling team are selling trash bags to help raise the money for a new wrestling mat. You can use the link below to order trash bags. The fundraiser will end on November 26. Please contact Prudence Morrow at 317-797-1677 with any questions.
