Senior Pastor Call Committee Update

Chili Cook-Off
Get ready for some fun and flavor with your St. John Community at the Chili Cook-Off November 17 following the Voters’ Meeting (about 1pm) in the Commons. Whether you’re a chili master or just love to eat, we’d love for you to join us for this tasty event. Bring your appetite, your friends, and your best chili recipe for a chance to compete for the coveted title of Chili Champion! Enter your Chili and RSVP HERE. Kid-Friendly options will be available as well. A free-will donation will be taken to support the Youth Gathering in New Orleans next summer. May the best chili win!
Veterans’ Day Luncheon
The Ladies’ Aid cordially invites veterans and their guests to attend the annual Veterans’ Day Luncheon on Thursday, November 14, beginning at 11:30am. Feel free to share with Veterans in our community. Please RSVP to Matthew Frick.
Voters’ Meeting
The annual Voters' Meeting will take place Sunday, November 17 following the 10:45 service. The agenda will include updates from church and school ministries, a motion to approve beginning the Specific Ministry Pastor program, approving board members for 2025, and approval of the 2025 budget. All adult St. John members should make plans to attend. Then join us afterward for the chili cook-off, sponsored by the youth group.
New Members
This weekend we “officially” welcome our new members who have joined through transfer, affirmation of faith, or adult confirmation over the last several months. We are blessed to have them join our fellowship at St. John!

Closing Service
The closing service for Christ Lutheran Church, Indianapolis (Irvington) will take place November 17 at 2:30pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 3932 Mi Casa Avenue, Indianapolis, 46237.
Pampered Chef Fundraiser
The Youth Group is raising funds to attend the Youth Gathering in New Orleans next summer. Click HERE to order online! You can also pick up a catalog in the Commons. Orders placed by December 8 will ensure delivery in time for Christmas.
Youth Group
There will NOT be youth group Sunday, November 10.
Adult Catechism
A New Adult Catechism Class will be starting Monday, November 11, from 5:30-7:00 pm. This class is for those who are high school age and older and desire to become members of St. John, or anyone that would like a “refresher” on what our church believes, teaches, and confesses. Please sign up on the Welcome Center or contact Matthew Frick if you would like to enroll. You are welcome to bring something for your evening meal.
