Concordia University Wind Symphony

The Wind Symphony from Concordia University Chicago will perform a concert of sacred and secular music on Saturday, October 27th at 7 pm.  The ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Richard Fischer, has performed in 43 states, Canada, Europe, Asia and South Africa, and will be featured at Carnegie Hall in New York City on Wednesday, March 13, 2019.  The Wind Symphony has commissioned and premiered numerous wind compositions and produced 15 acclaimed recordings of sacred wind music.  The concert at St. John will mark the middle of the Wind Symphony’s Fall Tour October 26-28; they will also play concerts at Zion Lutheran Church in St. Charles, MO and Trinity Lutheran Church in Peoria, IL.
