Great News — Our HVAC Project Is Complete!

We are excited to share that St. John’s HVAC project has been successfully completed on time and on budget! This is an important milestone for our church and school and an investment that will benefit our students, staff, and congregation for many years to come.

At the November 2025 Voters Meeting, the congregation approved moving forward with the HVAC project as part of St. John’s ongoing operating budget rather than conducting a separate capital campaign. As part of that approval, the congregation authorized financing of up to $1 million through a 10-year loan.

While we are still awaiting final invoices, the total cost of the HVAC project is currently estimated at $829,000.

To finance this important investment, St. John will utilize a 10-year loan. We are paying interest only for 9 months followed by in January 2027 beginning to pay principal and interest for 111 months. With the loan maturing in March 2036, we will make a grand total of $1,098,929 in payments. We are still awaiting the final invoices, however based upon estimations, we expect monthly payments to be around $9,990.

Supporting This Investment Together

Because the congregation approved the HVAC project as part of our ongoing operating budget, the required monthly loan payments will be supported through the General Fund, which is funded primarily by the regular tithes and offerings of our congregation. These loan payments will become part of the regular expenses we support together through our weekly, biweekly, and monthly giving.

There are several ways members can help support this financial commitment. Whether you feel called to increase your regular giving or make a one-time gift, both provide meaningful support and help meet the overall financial needs of St. John.

Members who wish to specifically support the HVAC investment may designate their additional gifts to the HVAC Fund or Preserving God’s House. Preserving God’s house is a special fund designated to cover unplanned maintenance expenses that arise and will be used toward the financial obligations associated with the HVAC loan, supporting the general fund when needed. The sooner that we can pay off the loan, the less we will have to pay in interest payments.

As we enjoy the benefits of this much-needed improvement, we are grateful for the faithful support of our congregation. Just as generations before us invested in the facilities we use today, we now have the opportunity to faithfully care for and preserve God’s house for the generations who will follow.
