We are excited to have Lori Forgey join our staff as our Little Wings Interim Director. We are thankful for her willingness to serve our youngest students.

Mrs. Lori Forgey, her husband Randy, and daughter, Meghan have been members of St. John since 2005.  They joined St. John when our daughter, Meghan, started kindergarten, and Mrs. Forgey began working at Little Wings at the same time.

Lori's background is in Social work, and she has worked as a guard at the Juvenile Detention Center,  as a counselor with teens who are struggling with alcohol and drug addictions as well as psychiatric issues.  She has also worked at Big Sisters as a Case Manager.  Her degrees are both from I.U., with an undergrad in psychology and a Master’s degrees in Social Work.

Mrs Forgey's thoughts on Little Wings: "When I came to Little Wings, my intention was to work here a couple of years until my daughter was a little older.  However, I fell in love with the kids and loved being able to teach them about Jesus.  I had not been able to do this in my previous work settings.  I enjoy watching them learn and love their enthusiasm for learning.  I enjoy the variety of activities we have for the kids at Little Wings.  It is so much more than a Childcare, as we incorporate so many fun educational activities into their daily schedule."

 

Mrs. Forgey's favorite things:

color: yellow

candy: Reese cups and anything with peanut butter in it.

Favorite food: peanut butter, steak and pizza

Drink: water

Bible verse:  Proverbs 3:5-6  and Jeremiah 29:11

Favorite TV shows:  Chopped and almost everything on the food network.  The Big Bang Theory

Movies:  Anything funny and not scary
