May 9 News and Notes
Dear Beloved of Jesus at St. John,
Praise be to the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has planted His people to bring forth good fruit to His glory. I have received all your generous gifts at my arrival and installation, and there is no expression to show how God has humbled me through your love. He makes it known to me that He is with me. Through your abundant compassion and joy, I lack no good thing.
My prayer for you and your families is that the grace you have shown me would be multiplied in return to you, by the infinite power and wisdom of Him who started it all, Jesus our Savior. May He provide for you, turn the hearts of those you love toward Him, and bring you safely, at long last, to His eternal rest in glory.
May the Holy Spirit keep you in the one true faith, rising up from sin and death into joy and righteousness. It is my great boast to proclaim His Word with you, for the life of the world.
Thank you for everything.
In Jesus,
Pastor Collin Duling

Greeters
Are you looking for a simple but meaningful way to serve our church family? Do you enjoy meeting new people and making others feel welcome? We’re currently seeking friendly, dependable volunteers to serve as greeters for our weekend services. As a greeter, you’ll be one of the first faces people see when they walk into St. John—offering a warm smile, a kind word, and helping everyone feel at home.
Greeters will:
- Welcome attendees at entrances with a smile
- Provide directions or answer simple questions
- Help visitors feel comfortable and connected
- Expect a time commitment of just 20–30 minutes before service begins on the Sundays you’re scheduled, which we would hope to be about once every other month.
We welcome all to participate, whether you're new to serving or a seasoned volunteer, and training will be provided. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact Pastor Duling.
Indianapolis Indians Game - The St. John Adult Fellowship group will be going to the Indians game on June 11. Tickets are $30 which includes a buffet lunch at the stadium. Ridesharing from St. John is being planned. To reserve your spot, please make payment to Matthew Frick by May 28.

We’re going on an epic adventure through Australia, and you’re invited! Jesus, who tells us “I am the way, and the truth, and the life” (John 14:6) will be our guide as we encounter amazing animals, lush landscapes, stunning sea life, and wondrous wilderness.
