We are excited to welcome Mr. Timothy Galligar to our staff. You can find Tim in the 7th grade homeroom class, teaching middle school History, and managing our sports teams as Athletic Director.

Mr. Galligar was born in Champagne-Urbana, IL but spent most of his youth in Chicago, St. Louis, and Columbus, IN. After graduating from Columbus East high school and meeting the love of his life, he moved to Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon, WI to earn a B.A. in secondary education, history, and ESL. 

After getting married in 2015, he and his wife Amanda moved to Tacoma, WA to teach his first three years at Peace Lutheran School in Bremerton, WA. After being away from family, Amanda and Mr. Galligar knew that it was time to come closer to family. During the transition process, Mr. Galligar received his call from St. John and knew that God was calling him to serve as the middle school social studies teacher and athletic director. 

 Mr. Galligar is passionate about social studies, geography, and history. He works to make these three areas relevant to students' lives and hopes to instill a life-long love of things past. When he is not teaching, he loves to play board games, attend concerts, and cook. He is very excited to become a part of the St. John community!
