National Lutheran Schools Week
St. John will celebrate National Lutheran Schools Week January 26-31. We give thanks to God for our Lutheran schools that teach the faith to children as we learn, grow, serve, and play!
In addition to student dress-up days, some Activities for the Week Include:
1/26 students singing in the 8:00 and 10:45 services
1/28 Service Project: Care packages for military personnel (see below for list of donation needs)
1/28 Guest Speaker: Grades 3-8, Dr. Michael Goodman, "Auggie Talk"
1/29 Chapel: Staff from Camp Lakeview will lead our chapel service
1/31 Lutherlympics in the gym
Service Project Donation Needs:
Food/Snacks: granola bars, chomps jerky, trail mix, dried fruit and nuts, drink mixes, hard candy, plain M&Ms, homemade cookies
Personal Hygiene Items: body wash, shampoo, baby wipes, tooth brushes, toothpaste, floss, non-aerosol travel size deodorant, small hand sanitizer, lip balm, foot powder, sun screen, small sewing kits
Activities: books, playing cards, card games, word search books
Please drop off donated items to the school by Monday, 1/27.
