The Season of Lent for 2024 begins with Ash Wednesday on February 14th!
Services on Ash Wednesday will be at 4:30 and 6:30. 
All other Lenten midweek services will be at 6:30. 

There will be meals served at 5pm on all Wednesdays through March 20th.

Please take this extra time to grow in the wonder of what God has done in Christ Jesus and in living as His disciples!

• 2024-2025 St. John Lutheran School Enrollment for current members is now open. Contact Heidi Mielke for more information. Enrollment opens to the community on February 5th, so be sure to save your spot today! 

• Altar Flowers - The Altar Guild will be trying out two new flower vendors in the months of February and March. Please sign up to sponsor altar flowers to help evaluate these potential alternate vendors.

• The Endowment Board invites you to join us between services (approx. 9:00-10:00 am) on Sunday, February 11, near the Courtyard in the Commons for a brief Annual Meeting. For the past 25 years the Endowment Board has stewarded investments for the future of our church and school, issuing grants for scholarships, equipment, youth group, hymnals, and the restoration of the stained glass windows, to name a few. We look forward to sharing information and a cup of coffee with you!

• LWML Mite Offering - Every first Sunday of the month, LWML collects mite offerings to support various mission efforts around the world. Mites can be given in any amount, whether loose change, cash, or check. Please deposit into the large mite box on the LWML table in the Commons. This month the focus grants are for the Disaster Response Team in Tyler, Texas, and Forged by Fire Services in LaCombe, LA, which provides meals to disaster relief workers.

• Ladies, you are invited -- to join us , The Ladies Aid and Mission Society, on Thursday, February 8, at 11:30, in the Commons. The theme for our luncheon is "Brunch for Lunch" so we would appreciate your bringing whatever you can contribute, such as, a breakfast casserole, fruit, coffee cake.  The program is a surprise! We will have some kind of entertainment. 

• Trustees Wanted - We are looking for a few good men (or women!) to join the Board of Trustees. The trustees help care for and maintain St. John’s facilities. No experience is required! Please contact Ron Wampner, ( ), if you are interested in serving St. John in this way.

• Thrivent Choice - If you are a Thrivent member, you can direct charitable dollars to approved entities, such as St. John Lutheran Church and School.
