St. John Lutheran Church and School is pleased to welcome Heidi Mielke as the Communications Coordinator. Although Heidi is new to our staff, she and her family have been involved at St. John through the school and church since 2005. Prior to starting at St. John, Heidi served as the Director of Christian Education at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Indianapolis from 1996-2011.

Heidi and her husband Matthew have 5 children. Their oldest, Fletcher, is entering his 1^st year at Purdue University. They have twin daughters, Hannah and Mariah, who will be Juniors at Lutheran High School. Paige will be an 8^th grader at St. John and entering Kindergarten will be their youngest, Spencer. When not volunteering at the school or with the Youth Ministry program, the Mielke family can be found at volleyball and basketball games and watching their kids perform in theater programs. As a family, they like to take vacations to the beach to relax, but also enjoy trips out west where they can hike and see some of God’s amazing creation.

Heidi is excited to serve in this role, and is excited to be a part of the team ministry at St. John. When asked what she is looking forward to the most, she said, “I’m eager to work with the staff and the members of the congregation to Prepare, Proclaim, and Project the Gospel effectively in all that we do.”
