THANK YOU to everyone who supported and attended last Wednesday’s field trip to the Indianapolis Indians game. God provided a great day for us to enjoy this special field trip. Congratulations to 2nd grader, Henry Z., too, who represented St. John Lutheran School very well with his participation in the pre-game presentation.
DINE TO DONATE: A huge thanks to everyone that promoted and supported our school at Chipotle last Wednesday night, especially our PTL rep for the event, Mrs. Stephanie Lecher. Our St. John families supported this event so well that it earned over $270! These funds will be used for some of our upcoming PTL projects around the school. Last week some PTL funds went to defraying the transportation costs to the Indianapolis Indians baseball game. Watch for more information coming out soon in relationship to our Fall Fundraiser as well as the Pumpkins on Parade/Trunk of Treat programs.
If you are interested in helping out with any of these special PTL activities there will be an information meeting on Wednesday, September 29 at 7 pm in the Commons or contact Mrs. Klopke for more information.

o Child Care Worker at Little Wings- AM School Day Hours (Part and full time positions; benefits included) contact Lori Forgey,
o Half Day (AM) Pre-K (certified) Teacher at St. John (50% time)
o PM Extended Care Group Leader at St. John. (2-15 hours per week)
o Free Extended Care for children of employees at St. John.

THIS WEEK IN SPORTS
• This past weekend the Varsity Volleyball team traveled to Seymour and finished 4th in the Lutheran Invitational Tournament (LIT)!
o Faith K. made the all tournament team!
o Alana E. placed 3rd in the serving competition
• Today our Eagles Volleyball Teams will travel to Holy Cross to face the Blaze. The game starts at 5:30 for JV Volleyball and 6:30 for Varsity Volleyball.
• The soccer game today against Holy Cross has been postponed until October 7th.
• Soccer practice on Thursday 6:30-7:45.
• On Friday and Saturday the Soccer Team will be travel to Calvary to compete in the Calvary Soccer Tournament.
o Soccer players be at Calvary on Friday at 5:15 and Saturday at Lutheran at 11:00.
o Please also make sure you have the schedule for the tournament this weekend. Miss McCormick has extra copies if you need them.

MAP TESTING
MAP Testing for grades K-8 is taking place through September 29th. Each of these grades will take online Reading and Math tests within this program. These test results will be compared with the baseline tests which were given late last spring to set specific goals for our students. More information about these MAP tests will be shared at our first Parent-Teacher conferences which are set for later on this fall (dates TBA).
